MERRIMACK, NH -- Mark P. Blanchette, 52 years old, of Merrimack, NH, died Tuesday October 9, 2012 in Merrimack while surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his fiancée, Michele Speight of Merrimack; his parents, Paul and Mary Jane Blanchette of Bennington, NH, his sister Lisa Breen and her husband, Tom of Rye Beach, NH; two brothers, Jay Blanchette of Bennington, NH, Dave Blanchette and his wife, Tammie of Francestown, NH; his niece, Stacy; his nephews, Ricky, Ross, Paul, Noah, and Lucas.
Mark was born on July 12, 1960 in Leominster. He graduated from Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton in 1978, and was self-employed since he left high school owning; Blanchette Landscaping, Cool Tech Pools, Master Masonry, and Blanchette Construction. A master mason, his work can be found all around Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
He was a longtime member and caretaker of the North Leominster Rod & Gun Club. Mark's true passion was hunting, and every fall he traveled across the country in pursuit of his game, his pinnacle achievement coming in the mountains of Oregon as he shot with his bow a 200 pound mountain lion while it hunted him.
Mark enjoyed his time with his friends, family, and true love of his life, Michele.
BLANCHETTE -- No calling hours. A Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St. Cecilia's Church on 180 Mechanic St., Leominster MA at 10 am. Burial will be private.
