Milton Jorgensen, 87
LEOMINSTER -- Milton Jorgensen, 87, of Leominster, died Monday, Dec. 17, in the Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on Oct. 11, 1925, a son of the late Randolf and Marie (Thompson) Jorgensen.
Milton was a WWII
Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy
stationed in both the European and Asiatic Pacific Theaters.
Following his discharge from the service Milton went to work for the railroad and later entered the managerial program at the General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY. He worked for the General Electric Company for over 30 years, and retired as a Purchasing Manager.
He was an avid golfer and a former member of the Westminster Country Club. He was also a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Milton was a skilled woodworker and furniture maker and loved to fish and garden.
His wife, Helen M. (Fillon) Jorgensen, died in 1998. He leaves a son, Keith Jorgensen and his wife Carol of Gardner; a daughter, Lori Auger of Leominster; three grandchildren, Eric Falk, Joshua Falk and Sara Jorgensen; a great-granddaughter, Isabel Falk and several nephews and nieces. Besides his wife he is predeceased, two sisters and a brother.
JORGENSEN -- His funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 11 AM in the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1200 John Fitch Hwy., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 5 to 7 PM in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.
