Racheal A. (Fortunato) Mazzilli, 90
FITCHBURG/DUNNELLON, FL -- Rachael A. (Fortunato) Mazzilli, 90, a longtime resident of Fitchburg, and a resident of Dunnellon. FL for the past 8 years, died Wednesday, April 30, in the Hospice of Marian County, Ocala, FL, after an illness.
Her husband, James A. Mazzilli, died in 1987.
She leaves one daughter, Celia A. Eurillo, and her husband, Charlie of Dunnellon, FL, with whom she lived; one son, Carl D. Mazzilli, and his wife Rose of Dennisport, MA; one sister, Mary Boucher of Lancaster, MA; five grandchildren, Brad Brooks, and his wife Valerie of Hollister, FL, James Brooks, and his wife, Amanda of Hollister, FL, Racheal McKenny and her husband, John of St. Augustine, FL, and David Richard, and his wife, Jamie of Jacksonville, Fl, Danielle M. Mazzilli of Cincinnati, Ohio; ten great-grandchildren, Shawn, Allan, Eve, Lorelei, Isabella, Samantha and Eli Brooks of Holliston, Fl; Samantha and Johnny McKenny of St. Augustine, FL and Baby Richard due in October 2014 of Jacksonville, FL. and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marylou Brooks of Hollisters, FL in 2009 and three sisters, Jessie Gagnon, Josie DeTommaso and Carmella Dondero, and four brothers, Michael, Danny, Dom and Pat Fortunato.
Rachael was a member of St. Anthony di Padua Parish in Fitchburg. She loved Bingo and going to Foxwoods. She always welcomed people to her home and cooked big meals for all to enjoy. She loved to be out with her family and friends and was always laughing and giving of herself.
She was born in Fitchburg, MA, on August 17, 1923, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Lucia (Suozzi) Fortunato.
MAZZILLI -- Her Funeral will be celebrated on Saturday, May 10, from the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 243 Water St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg, MA.
Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Fitchburg.
