Ruth M. Sidilau of Leominster, St. Leo Church member; 92 -- LEOMINSTER -- Ruth M. (Dignard) Sidilau, 92, a lifelong resident of Leominster, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2013, in the Life Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Leominster on May 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Leheney) Dignard. She was a graduate of Leominster High School. A very religious woman, Ruth was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Leo's Church, and also belonged to the Saint Anna's prayer group. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who always enjoyed spending time with those she loved. She was an excellent cook, and loved sharing meals with family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for travelling through any weather for her lobster dinner. As a family, Ruth enjoyed summer vacations on the camp at Lake Shirley. Ruth was very talented at remodeling her own home, and loved the tranquility of painting. Always positive, Ruth will be forever seen with a smile on her face. She leaves her eight daughters, Cynthia Buckley of Leominster, Sheila Latorre and husband, Nicholas of AZ, Karen Linton and husband, Larry of Leominster, Pamela Marrama and husband, Philip of Leominster, Diane DiMaria and husband, Frank of Leominster, Marcia Harris and husband, Kenneth of Leominster, Maureen Harris and husband, Richard of Leominster, Sandra Marien and husband, Robert of Leominster; five sons, Wayne Sidilau and of Winchendon, Bruce Sidilau and wife Patricia of Leominster, Gerard Sidilau of Winchendon, Keith Sidilau and wife, Joni of Orange, Kevin Sidilau of Leominster; 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Harold O. Sidilau, and her siblings; John Dignard, Marie Dupuis, and Rita Benjamin. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, William Buckley, and great-grandson, Brandon Martinez. SIDILAU -- The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home on Sat., June 29, 2013 with a Mass in St. Leo's Church, Leominster at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Fri., June 28, from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
