FITCHBURG -- Sai (Lee) Taitano, 90, of Fitchburg, died peacefully, Tuesday, March 18th, at her residence.
Her husband of 36 years, Joaquin B. Taitano died in November 1994.
Mrs. Taitano was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, December 22, 1923, a daughter of Moon Sing and She (Lum) Lee, and has resided many years in Fitchburg.
She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Suzette Aki of Las Vegas, NV, James and Carole Aki of Lake Worth, FL; four daughters and sons-in-law, Aileen and Don Adams of Micco, FL, Winifred and Dennis Tamaye of Hilo, Hawaii, Mary Lee and Michael Gamache, Joanne and John Pagnotta, all of Fitchburg; two brothers, Ching Hoy Lee, and Chew Hoy Lee, all of Hawaii; 11 grandchildren, Barry Aki, Michelle Aki, Toby Tamaye, Wendy Ysaguirre, Benjamin Adams, Kiki Adams, Dawn Cain, Jason Aki, Mark Couture, Jessica Couture and Matthew Gamache. She also leaves several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her twin sister, Dai L. Chang, and her brother, Samuel Lee.
Mrs. Taitano was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fitchburg. She was a retiree of the former Asher Pants Company. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She was also an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
TAITANO -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 25th at St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland Street, Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
