LEOMINSTER -- Vittorio "Vic" Di Ciccio, 87, of Leominster, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, surrounded by his loving family in the Lifecare Center of Leominster, after an illness.

He was born December 23, 1925 in Popoli, Italy, the son of Antonio Di Ciccio and Anna (Santoro) Di Ciccio and came to the United States, settling in Leominster on August 1, 1955.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Elsa (Fortunato) Di Ciccio; his son, Antonio "Tony" Di Ciccio and his wife, Lisa of Leominster; his daughter, Donna Basque and her husband, Greg of Fitchburg; five grandchildren, Stefanie, Angela, Ashley, David, and Andrew "AJ"; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Dominic; and his sister, Teresa DiBenedetto of Rome, Italy, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters.

Vic was educated in Italy, and worked in the Maintenance Department at Borden Chemical retiring in 1985. After retirement he went to work at Priest Street School in Leominster as a Crossing Guard. He was a member of St. Anna Church and enjoyed gardening, but his greatest passion was walking and socializing at Doyle Field in Leominster where he was known as the "Mayor of Doyle Field".

DI CICCIO -- Vic's funeral will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster with a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anna Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours are Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 3 pm-6 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Lifecare Center of Leominster Activities Fund, 370 West Street, Leominster MA 01453.
