FITCHBURG -- Barry R. Stone, 51, of Fitchburg, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Barry was born in Fitchburg on February 17, 1961, son of Richard "Rocky" and Gloria (Delmonico) Stone of Fitchburg. He was a 1979 graduate of Fitchburg High School and attended Fitchburg State University.

Barry had worked in the Fitchburg State University Information-Technology department since 2008. Barry owned PC Mobile Repair in Lunenburg from 2000 to 2006 and held a variety of positions, including finance manager at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1983 to 2000.

Besides his parents, Barry leaves his wife, Karen (Beltzer) Stone of Fitchburg; children, Lindsay R. Stone and Brandon R. Stone of Fitchburg; sister, Judi Bellenger and husband, Mark of Connecticut; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Sylvia Cook of Lunenburg; nieces and nephews.

STONE -- The funeral will be held in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg, on Thursday, November 15, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Wednesday, November 14, from 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Barry's name for a Fitchburg State University Scholarship Fund, c/o Jessica Murdoch, Fitchburg State University, 160 Pearl St. Fitchburg, MA 01420.

Words can not express how devastated I was to learn of Barry's passing. Barry was an extraordinary person who was like a brother to me.
