Doris L. (Wanamaker) Svec, 91

LEOMINSTER -- Doris S. (Wanamaker) Svec, 91 died Sunday, May 12, in her residence at Leominster Crossing, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband of 48 years, George P. Svec, died in 1983.

She leaves two daughters, Debbie K. McKeever, and her husband, Don, of Lunenburg, and Pamela S. Svec, of Boston, MA; 4 grandchildren, Ryan Svec, and Josh, Sean and Zack McKeever; one great-grandson, Jayson McKeever. She was predeceased by her son, Roger Svec, of Old Saybrook, CT, in 2008, and a brother, Kenneth Wanamaker, of Oronoque, CT.

Mrs. Svec was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Old Saybrook, CT, and once served as a Deaconess of the church.

She was born in Barnes, Kansas, on January 25, 1922, a daughter of late Jay and Fanny (Lillibridge) Wanamaker, and had been a resident of Old Saybrook, CT since the 1950's, before moving to Leominster a year ago, to be closer to her daughter in Lunenburg.

SVEC -- A Memorial Service will be held for Doris at a later date, at the First Congregational Church of Old Saybrook, CT, and her burial will take place in the Church Memorial Garden.
