Donald J. Bergeron
of Leominster, Army Vet; 85

LEOMINSTER -- Donald J. Bergeron, 85 years old, of Leominster, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in Sterling Village. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Regan of Leominster, and Doris Gauthier and her husband, Frederick of Leominster, brothers, William Bergeron of Connecticut, and Richard Bergeron and his wife, Jean of New Hampshire, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Alfred Bergeron.

Donald was born March 6, 1929 in Leominster, son of Dona J. and Mildred E. (Robideau) Bergeron, and was a lifelong resident. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Donald had worked at the former Pyrotex Company in Leominster for 33 years. He was a very active member of St. Leo's Church in Leominster and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (APOA). He earned his pilots license at the age of 16.

BERGERON -- A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11 am in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial with military honors will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 6-8 pm in the funeral home.
