Albert Petit Little
of Fitchburg; 89

FITCHBURG -- Albert Petit Little, 89 died January 26,2013 in HealthAlliance/Leominster Hospital. Albert was born December 2, 1923 in Fitchburg son of George and Helen (Caron) Petit. Mr. Little worked for many years in the handbag and plastics industries. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran serving as a Signalman 2nd class in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. While serving in Bermuda he served on the Free French Submarine (Les Glorieaux). He served as Signalman interpreter. He served with the Amphibious Landing Force aboard the LSM 376 with secondary landings on the Islands of Guam, Saipan and Okinawa and in August 1945 took part in the liberation of Korea, the 2nd Luzon in the Philippines and China.

He leaves his wife of 61 years Margaret (Pope) Little, a son Michael and his wife Robyn of Westminster, a daughter Agnes Heir and her finance' Peter Cote of Fitchburg, a daughter Patricia Little of Fitchburg, a stepson Joseph McCarthy of Fitchburg, a stepdaughter Maureen Wasel and her husband Peter of Lunenburg, 7 grandchildren; Cheryl Becotte, Bernadette Progin, Joseph Progin, Maria Cadet, Joseph McCarthy, Crystal McCallister and Charles Wasel, 12 great-grandchildren, one sister Joy Boucher of El Cajon CA, many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Little said many times "I've had a wonderful and lucky life, thanks to my wonderful wife and great family and friends"
LITTLE -- A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 10:00am in St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
