Anthony A. Delmonico of Lunenburg; 77 -- LUNENBURG -- Anthony A. Delmonico, 77, of Lunenburg, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester with his son and daughter at his side. Anthony was born in Fitchburg on May 27, 1936, son of the late Enrico "Henry" and Christina (Castronova) Delmonico. He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1954. Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Army, being honorably discharged in 1958. He was a Union Mason for many years and helped construct the launch pads at Cape Canaveral. Anthony then went to work for Digital Equipment Corp in Westminster, MA. He retired from HTL Technologies in Northborough, MA where he worked for several years. After retirement, Anthony drove for the MART Company. -- Anthony attended local flea markets where he was a vendor for many years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. -- He leaves his children, Anthony S. Delmonico and his wife Lynne of Torrington, CT and Ashlee S. (Delmonico) Santerre and her husband Jeffrey of Bedford; three grandchildren, Logan and Jack Delmonico and Parker Santerre; two sisters, Gloria Stone of Fitchburg, and Anna Novogroski of Lakeside Park, KY; his sister-in-law Settimia Delmonico of Leominster; several nieces and nephews. Anthony was predeceased by his two brothers, Ralph and Leon Delmonico. -- DELMONICO -- A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in St. Anthony di Padua Church at 11:30 AM. Full Military Burial will follow in the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA. Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Monday, July 8, from 6-8 PM.
