Loving son, brother, nephew, and cousin; 27

HUBBARDSTON Benjamin N. Cravedi, 27, of Hubbardston, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013, in Portland, Oregon.

Ben was born in Leominster on December 26, 1985, a son of Gregory and Joyce (Normandin) Cravedi. He was a graduate of Quabbin Regional High School.

Most recently, Ben worked in an animal clinic as a caregiver, where he shared his love of animals.

He had a love for the outdoors, traveling, and nature. He was also an adventurer, avid reader, with a profound love of language and literature. Ben achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a rare accomplishment in the Boy Scouts of America. Ben was always ready for a game of Scrabble, at which he excelled. Ben will always be remembered for his sweet nature and kindness toward others.

He leaves his parents, Greg and Joyce Cravedi of Hubbardston; brother, Nicholas Cravedi; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as friends here and in Portland.

Ben was predeceased by his grandparents, Edith and Louis Cravedi, and Robert and Bella Normandin.

CRAVEDI -- The funeral will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, on March 5th at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Fitchburg. A calling hour will precede the service on March 5th from 9:30 - 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Hubbardston Public Library at 7 Main Street, Unit 8, Hubbardston, Mass. 01452 in memoriam of Benjamin Cravedi.
