Obituary Condolences

of Leominster, formerly of Wareham; 68

LEOMINSTER -- Beverly A. (Demers) Butland, 68, of Leominster, formerly of Wareham, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston. She was the widow of the late Edward Butland.

Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late George & Viola (Murphy) Demers. A longtime resident of Wareham, she moved to Leominster in 2006.

Mrs. Butland was employed for many years as a dietary aide at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

She enjoyed trains and was known at Tobey Hospital for wearing her colorful and seasonal headbands.

Survivors include her daughter, Viola M. Dube and her husband, David of Leominster; two sisters, Mary Barr of Milford, and Nancy Hegg of Warwick, RI; her brother, George Demers, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; two grand-daughters, Elizabeth and Renee Dube; and many nieces and nephews.

BUTLAND -- Her funeral service will be held on Mon., Dec. 10th at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rte. 28), Wareham at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 - 6 PM. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham. A celebration of Beverly's life will also be held on Saturday, Dec. 15th at Mustard Seed Faith Fellowship, 218 Willard St., Leominster from 1 - 3 PM.
