As one wanders through life, and the end is near, the only reflection I have ever heard has been the importance of ones relationships. It has never been about the money, the job, the travel, the toys, or even the events one has lived through. It has always been about the relationships! Charlie had so many great and varied relationships that, as a measure of success, he was truly one of the best. No matter what, Charlie liked to help, and he really knew his stuff. Weather racing, flying, endless engineering projects,
flight instruction, or helping me with my annual inspection, Charlie made a difference. All of us should be so lucky, and have the pleasure of influencing so many peoples lives. You will be missed Charlie,,,,, You will be missed! See you around the next cloud!!
Rich Williams.

I still can't believe it's true. I will always remember the great times we had on our many airshow trips, sharing our passion for aviation. You were an inspiration, mentor, my cousin but more like a brother. Whatever you persued, you always took to the highest level, accomplishing and experiencing more in your 50 years than most of us ever could in 100. I'm so glad you met Lorrie, I know you were happy. I'm sure the sorrow felt today will give way to fond memories by all whose lives you touched. I'll miss you and whatever awaits us on the other side, I'll see you when I get there.

I've known Charley for at least 15 years. I went on a few adventures with him and shared a few beers when we would run into each other. He gave me a Job at the company I currently work for when I needed it. He was always upfront with everyone and always willing to lend a hand. I met Charley through my father who Charley would take flying because he could no longer pilot himself anymore because of his health. It meant alot. Charley will be greatly missed.
My prayers and thoughts go out to the family.

I worked with Charley at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center. I shared an office with him and went to lunch with him virtually every day. I got to know Charley well and he became my friend. Being a relatively recent resident in this area, Charley was one of my only friends. I will miss him greatly. Charley was a man of great character. You always knew exactly where you stood with him and he would do anything to help you. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. If there is anything that I can do, please let me know.

A super guy that I grew up with in a small Pennsylvania town, Chuck ended up this same area and how we loved to remenisce about the good old days in both PA & MA. Rest in Peace & Fly Free, my old friend-you are missed.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie. When Dan passed away, Charlie took my mother and Dan's brother up in an airplane to scatter Dan's ashes. We have a special place in our hearts for Charlie.
