LEOMINSTER -- Claire A (Baron) Doherty 77, of Leominster, died Sunday, February 19, 2012, in the Lifecare Center of Leominster, after a long illness.

She was born July 20, 1934 in Leominster, MA, the daughter of the late Adrien Baron and Eva (Bouchard) Baron, and was a lifelong resident.

She leaves her son, Charles E. Doherty and his wife, Erika of Fitchburg; and a daughter, Carrie L. Harris and her husband, John of Fitchburg; four brothers, Leon Baron, Arnold Baron, and Rene Baron, all of Leominster and Dennis Baron of New York, two sisters, Renda Matthews and Phyllis Delgiudice, both of Leominster; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister, Janice Hebert.

Claire grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School. She was employed as a clerk for the Registry of Deeds, and at several local banks.

She was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church in Leominster.

DOHERTY -- Claire's Funeral will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial is private.
