David A. 'Chico' Allen; 61
ASHBY -- David A. "Chico" Allen, 61, a longtime resident of Ashby, MA, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster, after a six month illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves one son, David Allen, of Fitchburg; two daughters, Sara Allen of Fitchburg, and Ann-Marie Huot, and her husband, Rodney, of Athol, MA; his father, William F. Allen, of Ashby, MA; one brother, Mitchell Allen, and his wife, Lois, of Fitchburg; two sisters, Debra Gaffney of Leominster, and Sharon Allen of Ashby; and four grandchildren, Morgan and Jayden Huot and Jada and Jailene Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Allen was a Roofer for Bedard Roofing Co. in Ashby, for 30 years.
He was a member of the Fitchburg Rod & Gun Club, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and artistry. He was known to be very handy.
He was born in Fitchburg, MA, on September 18, 1951, a son of the late Margaret G. (Hanley) Allen.
ALLEN -- Funeral Services and Interment are private. There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life and Benefit will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m., at the Fitchburg Rod & Gun Club, Richardson Rd., Ashby, MA.
