Templeton, active at Westminster church; 56

TEMPLETON -- David William Cino, 56, of Templeton MA, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, of natural causes in his home with his family at side.

He was born November 9, 1956 in Derry, New Hampshire, the son of James and Leona (Morrow) Cino. He graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1975 where he excelled as a multi sport athlete.

Following high school, he played in a semi-pro baseball league as a catcher in Nashua, N.H. and was invited to a try out to play for the Cincinnati Reds. He continued to play and coach. He was a softball coach throughout his life and enjoyed one last season of play this past year.

He attended Redemption Rock Church and was active in the music ministry. He found great joy in his love for the Lord and in fellowship within the church community. He found true friendship in Paul Panagiotis, Doug Delodge, Ron Leonard, Bill Russell, and cherished the time he spent with them. The love Dave had for the Lord, his church, his friends, and his children will live on forever. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; his children, Matthew, Andrew, and Angela; his father, James Cino; grandchildren, Hannah and Aiden; his brothers, Paul, Michael, and Vincent; and sister, Ann Simmons.

He also leaves many nephews and nieces.

CINO -- A Memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5 to 6 p.m. in Redemption Rock Church, 3 Hagar Park, Westminster, MA followed by a reception in the church hall. All relatives and friends are welcome to attend. There are no calling hours. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, MA is assisting with arrangements.
