of Fitchburg; 70

FITCHBURG -- Douglas J. LeCourt, 70, of Fitchburg, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born December 27, 1942, son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Bourque) LeCourt. He resided in Fitchburg all of his life.

Mr. LeCourt graduated from Fitchburg High School and Stevens Business College.

He worked in the family business, LeCourt's Supermarket (later Piggly Wiggly Supermarket) for many years before becoming VP of Prince Macaroni Company. He retired from LeHigh-Armstrong in 2008.

Mr. LeCourt enjoyed the outdoors, including golf and working around the house.

He was also a member of Global Fitness for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane (Fitzgibbon) LeCourt, his daughter Carrie Anne Beaulac and her husband Tad of Hubbardston, and his son Thomas LeCourt of Westfield. He also leaves his 3 beautiful granddaughters Sydney, Hannah, and Lillian Beaulac. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Kenneth LeCourt. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend sincerest thanks to the staff of the sixth floor of the UMass Medical Center in Worcester for their excellent care.

LECOURT -- Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 8p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be at St. Edwards the Confessor Church, 10 Church St., Westminster, MA. on Wednesday August 21, 2013 at 11am.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fitchburg, MA.
