HUDSON, FL -- Elise J. Zambrano of Hudson, FL peacefully passed away on January 24 at Sunrise Assisted Living Center, Leominster, after a short illness. Elise was the wife of the late Giacomo Zambrano and is survived by a son James R. Zambrano, and his wife Kathleen, of Leominster, and a daughter Renate Hannaman Hoyt, of Carson City, Nevada. A son, Henry Zambrano, of Lakeland, FL, passed away in 2002. She was born in Wurzburg, Germany June 28, 1925, the daughter of Martin and Gertrurd Muller.
Elise was a longtime resident of Fitchburg, before retiring to Florida. She had been employed for many years as a cosmetician at Sears in Leominster, besides working previously in Fitchburg at United Cooperative Farmers Grocery Store and Parkhill Plaza Victory Market. She was an avid gardener and lover of flowers, and a computer enthusiast. She enjoyed emailing friends around the world, especially to her native Germany.
Besides her two children, and loving daughter-in-laws, she is survived by nine grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren.
Duckett Funeral Home, Sudbury, MA is handling arrangements. A memorial service and burial at Fort Devens Cemetery will be planned for the spring, when all her beloved flowers are in full bloom.
