formerly of Quincy, MA; 91

LEOMINSTER, MA -- Elizabeth (Fletcher) Baumber, 91, formerly of Quincy, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 16, 2014 at Keystone Nursing Home in Leominster, MA surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth (Betty) was born in West Hartlepool, England on December 20, 1922. She moved to Quincy MA as a child and graduated from North Quincy High School in 1941. She worked at Remick's for many years as a sales associate and enjoyed tending to her home and gardens.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Lily (Jenkins) Fletcher. She is also predeceased by the love of her life, Sidney Baumber as well as her treasured son, the late Richard Baumber, and loving sister Lillian Fletcher Williams.

Elizabeth will forever be remembered by her devoted grandchildren. Jennifer Baumber and husband Steve Gjertson of Colorado, Matthew Baumber of Milford, MA, Kate Infantino and husband Bryan of Lunenburg, MA, and Amanda Baumber of Maryland as well as their mother Joan Wright of Ashby, MA. She also has 7 great- grandchildren.

She also cared very deeply for her nieces Lynne Nutting and husband William of Norwood, Shirley Walesch and husband Ron of Vermont and nephew Charles S. Williams of Weymouth.

Elizabeth will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt and was an all-around beautiful person. She could often be found spending many occasions laughing with her 7 great-grandchildren and showing multiple generations the value of laughter and family.

The Baumber family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Keystone Nursing home in Leominster for their attentiveness and loving care. Elizabeth's family is comforted in knowing she is at peace and reunited with her loved ones.
