FITCHBURG -- Esther (Cheries) Caron, 91 quietly passed away in the arms of her loving family. Rest in eternal peace mom, your suffering is over.
Longtime resident of Fitchburg died January 28, 2013 in Sterling village Nursing Home. She was born in Monson, MA January 29, 1921 the daughter of Paul and Irene (Simone) Cheries. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman J. Caron who died on Dec. 20 1995. Esther is survived by three children Richard J, Caron and his wife Christine of Salisbury MA, Janice M. LeBlanc and her husband Albert of Fitchburg and Sandra A. Renda and her husband Paul of Fitchburg, two sisters, Lydia Laliberty of Leominster and Fay Dauphinais of San Jose Ca., eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frank, Michael, and Daniel Cheries of Fitchburg, Anna Bellafioe of Haverhill, Mary Belliveau of Fitchburg and Rose Koslowski of Fitchburg.
As a young lady, Esther worked for Independent Lock before starting her family and then worked for Margaret Lamothe for many years in her home sewing doll clothes, while running the family business with her husband Norman and Joseph Laliberty who owned Pete and Joe's Antenna Service. She loved entertaining and cooking for her family and many friends. She was an avid bingo player. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Her family was her whole life, we will miss you deeply.
CARON -- In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Esther's memory to: St. Joseph Parish, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg MA. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
