LEOMINSTER -- Frank F. Mitchell, 86 years old, of Leominster, died Sunday, January 13, 2013, in his home, after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara M. (St. Cyr) Mitchell; son, Scott F. Mitchell and his wife, Cynthia of Leominster; daughters, Michell Dixon and her husband, Dale of New Jersey, and Deborah Green and her husband, Robert Ouellette of Winchendon; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, John Mitchell and Lester Mitchell.
Frank was born July 31, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA, son of Lester A. and Florence L. (Flanagan) Mitchell, and lived in Leominster for many years.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran proudly serving aboard the U.S.S. Sampson DD-394.
Frank had worked at the former Foster Grant Co. in Leominster, and had managed the Leominster Motor Inn for several years. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and was a former member of the church's vestry committee.
MITCHELL -- A burial service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11 am in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough, MA. 01752. www.specialolympicsma.org The Silas F.
