LUNENBURG - Gordon Charles Kimball, 79, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home in Lunenburg.

He was born October 24, 1938 in Concord, the son of Roger and Louise (Richardson) Kimball.

Gordon attended Lawrence Academy in the 1950s and went on to get his degree at UMass Stockbridge School of Agriculture. After graduating, he worked alongside his father at Frost Farms in Littleton. Gordon married Brenda Benham in February, 1961. They were married for 57 years and together they had two daughters. They spent many years operating Flat Hill Orchards in Lunenburg. Farming was a way of life for Gordon and he enjoyed seeing a new crop of fruit come along every summer. He spent many years learning about the latest growing techniques, new varieties of fruit he wanted to plant and collaborating with other growers.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, collecting antique tractors and trucks, trips to Barbados and Maine, and time with his family.

He leaves his wife Brenda; daughter, Debbie Locker and her husband, John, and grandchildren, Doug and Juliet of Goffstown, NH; daughter, Tracy Ricci and her husband, Jimmy, of Lunenburg; sister, Nancy Lang and her husband, Ralph and in-laws, Frank and Paula Benham.

KIMBALL - A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. in United Parish, 39 Main St., Lunenburg. There are no calling hours. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
