LUNENBURG -- Heather Marie Duval, 35, of Lunenburg, passed away on Friday July 19th, 2013, after being found in Hickory Hills Lake in Lunenburg.

She was born in Leominster on December 5th, 1977. Heather attended Westminster Elementary School and Leominster High School, and later went on to receive her certification as a nurse's assistant in 2008. She worked for several agencies traveling around Massachusetts as a CNA.

Heather had a love for animals. She volunteered for the Pat Brody Shelter for Cats, and would help injured animals that she found. She loved spending time with her family at Christmas and especially loved decorating for the holidays. She will always be remembered for the decorations that she would put up for Halloween, Trick or Treating with her daughter and going to Salem, MA for Halloween. Heather's other passion was old classic cars that she shared with her fiancé, Michael.

Heather leaves behind her Fiancé, Michael Laroche of Lunenburg with whom she lived; her father, Joseph Duval and his wife, Linda of Westminster; her mother; Sheree Hamm of Maine; two daughters; Infiniti McQueston of Rutland, and Meghan Lastella of Fitchburg; her brother, Jason Duval; and step brothers, Shane, Derek and Randall Thibault; her maternal grandmother, Nancy Bissonnette of Leominster; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Donald Bissonnette of Leominster and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Lucille Duval of Leominster.

DUVAL -- Calling hours will be held from the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster on Thursday July 25th, 2013 from 5:00 pm-8:00 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 8:00 pm. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fitchburg. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations in Heather's name be made to: The Pat Brody Shelter for Cats 479 Northfield Rd., Lunenburg, MA 01462 or may be left at the funeral home.
