of Fitchburg; formerly of Leominster; 67

FITCHBURG -- James "Scott" Conner 67, of Fitchburg, and formerly of Leominster, died Friday evening November 16, 2012 in Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA. following complication after surgery.

He was born on August 11, 1945 in Leominster, MA, was the son of the late James S. Conner Sr. and Beth A. (Wallace) Conner. He was a graduate of Leominster Trade High School.

Mr. Conner was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era having served from 1965-1967 and attaining the rank of E-3. He worked for Lockwood Plastics for many years, and more recently as a trucking broker and logistics for local companies.

He was an avid photographer, loved taking pictures of family, friends, and nature, was a NASCAR fan, loved watching the races with his friends, and enjoyed working outside especially in his own yard.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Virginia A. (Quinn) Conner of Fitchburg; three sons, Keith Conner and his wife, Kelly of Fitchburg, Peter LaFleur of Fitchburg, and Paul LeFleur and his wife, Michelle of Fitchburg; two brothers, Jonathan Conner and his wife, Patty, Bradley Conner and his wife Barbara, both of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Patricia Cucchiara and her husband, Dick of Leominster, and Colleen Degrafenried of Winchendon; five grandchildren, Joseph Conner, Britni Conner, Neil Conner, Sarah Colston, Sean LeFleur; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was very close to his sisters-in-law, Patricia Quinn and Mary Carey, and his brothers-in-law, Michael and Richard Quinn.

He was predeceased by his parents, James S.and Beth Conner Sr., and sister, Joan Petrini.

CONNER -- The funeral will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster, Burial with Military Honors will be at 1:00 p.m. in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 211 Glenallen Rd., Winchendon, Calling hours will be Monday November 26, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
