HUBBARDSTON -- James "Jim" E. Beaulieu, 63, of Hubbardston, died Friday, November 23, 2012, in UMass Medical Center, after an illness.
Jim was born in Leominster, MA on January 8, 1949, son of the late George P. and Ruth (Grabner) Beaulieu. Jim graduated from Leominster High School in 1967 where he was co-captain of his football team. He furthered his education by attending and graduating from Springfield College.
Jim was an avid sports fan and rarely missed a Patriots game. He also enjoyed coaching track at Leominster High School, where he met his wife of 27 years, Noreen, who was also a track coach there.
Jim was employed in the medical field at XRE and Medtronic Navigations in Littleton, MA. He was a dedicated worker who was proud of the company's innovative work on x-ray machines.
His 63 years were full of adventures. He traveled cross-country, hiked Mt. Washington and enjoyed the outdoors through camping, hiking, ice fishing, snowmobiling and skiing. He spent every summer enjoying Lake Shirley. He could be found most days driving his boat around the lake and catching up with old friends. Jim loved to cook for family gatherings and enjoyed spending time with his relatives, especially his four children and grandchildren. He was adored by friends and family alike. Jim will be sadly missed and always remembered for his kind and generous heart and his laughter that brought joy to others.
He leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Noreen (McLaughlin) Beaulieu of Hubbardston; sons, Kevin J. Beaulieu and wife, Sara of Bristol, RI, Jonathan J. Beaulieu of Hubbardston; daughters, Tanya Clark and husband, Cory of Charlestown, RI, Amanda Lee Beaulieu and companion, John DiMauro of Hubbardston; grandchildren, Ian and Elle Clark, and Ally Reynolds; brothers, Peter Beaulieu of Leominster, Larry Beaulieu and wife, Melanie of Florida, John Beaulieu and wife, Jacqueline of Leominster; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Frances McLaughlin of Leominster.
Jim was predeceased by his sister, Sally Beaulieu in 2004.
BEAULIEU -- The funeral will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Calling hours will be from 4-7 P.M. on Monday, November 26, 2012 and also on Tuesday morning from 9-10 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
