LEOMINSTER -- Jeanette M. (Price) Courtemanche 92, of Leominster passed away peacefully on Monday January 14, 2013 in the Keystone Center, with her family at her side.
She was born on May 26,1920 in Fitchburg, MA. the daughter of George and Mary (Porter) Price. She was raised in Fitchburg and was a graduate of Fitchburg High School Class of 1938. In her early years Jeanette was very active in gymnastics and dance and competed in many tournaments. After she married her husband the late Ralph E. Courtemanche, she had five children and was a stay at home mom. That was her special joy. She was very devoted to caring for her children and her husband. As a long time member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster, MA., she was very active for many years in the Ladies Guild and church functions. She also enjoyed reading, with a special fondness for poetry. She also liked knitting, sewing, and cooking.
She leaves her five children, her son R. Robin Courtemanche and his wife Linda , her daughters, Mary Beth H. Staiano and her husband William , Susan J. Allain and her husband John, Christine J. Leger, and Marianne Todd and her husband Christopher, her sister Gertrude Gulliver, 11 grandchildren , 9 great grandchildren , nephews and nieces.
Her husband of 54 years Ralph E. Courtemanche died in 1996.
COURTEMANCHE -- The funeral will be held on Friday January 18, 2013 with a Mass at 11a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster, MA. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fitchburg, MA. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday evening from 6 until 8p.m. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, MA. is directing.
