John Hendrickson Obituary
of Gardner, MA
GARDNER -- John R. "Rick" Hendrickson III, of Gardner, died August 16, 2017, in University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester. Rick was born in Leominster, on January 15, 1983, and had lived in Ashby for many years before moving to Gardner 18 years ago.
He had been a manager of a Sprint Store, been a radio engineer for Legends Radio, was the host of the N.E.C.W. website, where he also took care of their technical issues. Rick received his bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Tele-communications from Fitchburg State University. He was a wrestling fan. He was also a big Boston sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins.
Rick leaves his father and mother Charles and Debra (DeBettencourt) Forcier of Lunenburg, one sister Rebecca (Hendrickson) Rice of Leominster and a niece Lily Rice, who he adored of Leominster. He was predeceased by his grandparents Robert and Rita DeBettencourt, a nephew Jagen Rice and a niece Violet Rice.
HENDRICKSON -- A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 11:00am, in the Lavery Chartrand and Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg. Inurnment will follow in West Cemetery, Ashby. In lieu of flowers donations in Rick's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Rick was a generous, intelligent, insanely funny guy. He was free and easy with his time and always came through when you needed him. I had the distinct pleasure of his friendship for nearly 12 years, and worked with him for 6 of those years at Cageside Live and TapouT Radio. To put it simply, Rick was the best. Rest in power, dear friend. You will be missed.
