GARDNER -- Kathryn (Howe) Webb Cashman died on Monday, April 23, 2012 in the Legend Nursing Home in Gardner; her son Jon was with her at the end.
Kathryn was born on September 23, 1912 in Putney, VT to Ruth (Martin) Howe Pollard and William Howe. Her early years were spent in Putney and Ludlow, VT, where she graduated from Black River Academy. She continued her education at Emerson College in Boston. Kathryn's first marriage to William Hartwell Webb lasted 58 years until his death in 1989. Later she was married to Charles Cashman, who predeceased her as well. Kathryn is remembered for her vitality and kindness of heart. She enjoyed dancing and singing. She was dearly loved by her family and will live on in our hearts.
She is survived by her son William Martin Webb of Seattle, WA; daughter, Jennifer Cassidy of Nashua, NH; son Jonathan Webb of Westminster; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was predeceased by her two brothers, William Howe and Martin Howe.
CASHMAN -- At Kathryn's request, a private celebration of life and burial will be held.
Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, assisted the family with arrangements.
