LEOMINSTER -- Leonie E. (Marcotte) Andrews, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday (Feb. 21) after an illness.
She was born on June 2, 1923 in Fitchburg, the daughter of Joseph and Alexina (Boudreau) Marcotte.
She was a graduate of St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg; she retired after 40 years from The Registry of Deeds in Fitchburg where she held the position of Senior Clerk, she enjoyed playing Tennis and Trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and was a longtime member of St. Leo's Parish in Leominster.
Mrs. Andrews was predeceased by her husband Frederick D. Andrews Jr., her sister Yvonne Barrette of Fitchburg, and a great-grandson Aaron Creamer of Leominster.
She leaves her son Frederick D. Andrews III of Leominster, a daughter Janice Day and her husband Gregory of Leominster, a brother Roland Marcotte of Florida, two sisters Cecile Morrell of Shrewsbury, and Irene La Pierre of Maryland, grandchildren Wendy Creamer, and Lori Masciangioli, great-grandchildren John MacDonald, Audrey MacDonald, Katey Creamer, and Johanna Creamer, and a great-great-grandson Michael Creamer, and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is already greatly missed by all who knew her.
ANDREWS -- Her Funeral will be held on Thursday (February 28) from THE CURLEY MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 89 West St., Leominster with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Leo's Church, 108 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling Hours at the Funeral Home will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
