Loretta L. Warren-Barnes, 83
Beloved mother

LUNENBURG - Loretta L. (Warren) Warren-Barnes, 83, died peacefully in her home, Tuesday September 11, 2018, with her loving son by her side.

Loretta was born in Baltimore, MD, August 30, 1935, a daughter of the late Julius and Sebetta (Claiborne) Warren and has lived in Lunenburg since 1971. Her husband Retired Lt. Colonel Hubert E. Barnes, Jr. died in 1987.

Loretta is survived by her son, Kurt A. Barnes of Lunenburg; one grandson, Matthew C. Barnes of Fitchburg; two great-grandchildren, Davion and Zariyah Barnes; three siblings, Julius Warren, Jr., Adele Fing and Eva Lambert; and several nieces and nephews. Loretta was predeceased by her son Hubert "Kevin" E. Barnes, III in 2006.

Loretta earned a Masters' degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston College. She worked as a clinical social worker at Burbank Hospital and prior to her retirement, Westborough State Hospital. Loretta was a long-time member of St. Boniface Church of Lunenburg. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching tv and most of all, the time she spent with her family.

BARNES - A funeral service will be on Friday September 21, 2018, at 7pm, in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Massachusetts Ave., Lunenburg. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be on Friday September 21, 2018, from 5-7pm, in the funeral home.
