LEOMINSTER/STERLING -- Michael N. Faley, 56, of Leominster, formerly of Sterling, died Sunday, October 20, 2013, in his home.
He leaves a daughter, Melissa A. Toffel, and her husband, William W. Toffel, Jr., of Haddonfield, NJ; a son, Michael N. Faley, Jr., of Leominster; three brothers: William K. Faley of California, Glen S. Faley of Worcester, and Charles H. Faley of Leominster; and a sister, Jill A. Hobbs, of Vermont.
Michael was born in Denver, CO, and raised in Sterling, son of the late Nelson W. and Nathalie F. (Brigham) Faley. He attended local schools.
For more than 25 years until its closing, Michael was employed by the former Union Products Co., Lancaster, as a Warehouse Foreman.
An avid reader, especially of science and philosophy, he was an amateur Astronomy buff, was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and animal lover. He was also an accomplished Martial Artist, having earned a Black Belt in Karate.
FALEY -- Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
