LEOMINSTER -- Michelle Loiselle Brosseau died at age 50 from complications while undergoing routine heart surgery Monday, December 17, 2012, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. In 2000, she was diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia and had surgery for an implantable cardiac device, which was scheduled to be replaced.
She was born November 9th, 1962 to parents Norman and Laurette Loiselle in Leominster where she grew up with her three brothers, John, Steve, and Joe, and sister, Claudette.
After graduating as Valedictorian from Saint Bernard's in 1981, she went on to get her bachelors of science in art and design in architecture from M.I.T. in 1985. Her only child, Eric Choudhary, was born the next year in 1986. She spent her career working as a drafter and later as a CAD technician for civil engineering firms, most recently S. J. Mullaney Engineering Inc.
In 2002, she married Jeffrey Brosseau and moved into her current home on West St where she also lived with her son and step-daughter also named Michelle. Michelle was active in her community most notably with Pilgrim Congregational Church where she sang in the choir. Her hobbies and interests include home decorating, having jewelry parties, garden design, sustainability, sewing and she loved bringing joy to the children in her extended family. She will be remembered for her ability to encourage everyone she touched to live up to their full potential.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Jeffrey Brosseau; her son and step-daughter, Eric Choudhary and Michelle Brosseau; her parents, Laurette and Norman Loiselle; and her siblings, John Loiselle and his wife, Kathleen, Claudette Tata and her husband, Robert, and Joseph Loiselle.
She is predeceased by her brother, Stephen Loiselle.
BROSSEAU -- There will be calling hours on Friday, December 21 in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg from 4-7 pm, and there will be a funeral service at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 26 West St., Leominster on Saturday at 11:00 am.
