Loving mother, grandmother, and sister; 81

FITCHBURG -- Mildred A. "Millie" (Fallavollita) Alario, 81, of Fitchburg, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2012, in her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Leominster, MA, on May 23, 1931, she was the daughter of Armand and Angelina (Bianchin) Fallavollita. She was raised in West Boylston and was a graduate of the former Major Edwards High School in West Boylston. She had lived in Fitchburg, MA most of her life.

Millie was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed making all the traditional Italian favorites for her family and friends, especially during the holiday season. She loved reading, rooting for the Red Sox and Patriots and spending time with her granddaughters. For many years, she cherished her weekly poker games with "Jo Farrell" and the "girls." She loved her yearly vacation in Maine with her family.

Her thoughtfulness, kindness, and sense of humor will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend thanks to the VNA Care Network & Hospice for the help and care of our mother in her final days.

She leaves her children, Gail M. Alario and her wife, Lori Napoli of Chelmsford, MA, John J. Alario Jr. of Fitchburg, MA, and Louise D. and her husband, David Snyder of Westminster, MA; one brother, Carl Fallavollita in South Carolina; four grandchildren, Melissa and Jessica Alario, and Devan and Lindsay Snyder. She also leaves her best friend and cousin, Betty David; along with many nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Alario in 1983, her daughter, Cheryl Alario in 2003, and two brothers, Armand and Pasquale Fallavolita.

ALARIO -- A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard's Cemetery and all relatives and friends are welcome to attend. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Care Network & Hospice, 305 Whitney St., Leominster, MA 01453. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home,
