Patrick W. Grant, 40

FITCHBURG - Patrick W. Grant, 40, of Fitchburg, died unexpectedly in his home on Monday, September 10, 2018. Patrick was born in Fitchburg and had lived here his entire life.

Patrick attended Montachusett Regional Vocational High School where he excelled at Soccer. Growing up in Fitchburg he also played for several youth soccer leagues.

He was a talented landscaper and bricklayer working for several area landscapers including Central Mass Landscaping and Morrison Landscaping and Tree Service. He was most recently employed by the City of Fitchburg Cemetery Department.

Patrick was a devoted father spending endless hours at the skate park with his beloved son, Dylan. They also enjoyed fishing, biking, playing soccer, deck hockey and dirt bike riding.

Patrick leaves his wife Megan Lizotte Grant, his son Dylan Patrick Grant, his mother Cheryl Grant of Fitchburg, a brother James Grant of Virginia, his maternal grandmother Carol Derosier of Townsend, his paternal grandmother Constance Grant of Leominster, in-laws Pamela and Angelo Kirousis of Fitchburg, father-in-law Joseph Lizotte of Ashburnham and several aunts, uncles and cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law and three nieces.

He is predeceased by his father Thomas Grant, his maternal grandfather William Derosier and his paternal grandfather John Grant.

GRANT - His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 10 AM in St. Bernard's Parish at St. Camillus de Lellis Parish, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dylan Grant Educational Fund, c/o Webster First Federal Credit Union, 65 North St., Fitchburg, MA 01420
