Peter F. Miller Sr.
of Leominster, Air Force Vet; 78
LEOMINSTER -- Peter F. Miller Sr., died suddenly in his home on Sunday, December 16, 2012.
He was born on September 9, 1934 in Leominster, the son of the late Francis and Irene (Tellier) Miller. He was a graduate of Leominster High School Class of 1952.
He served for four years in The United States Air Force. Peter was very proud of his military service and of his membership in The Wilder Lodge of Masons in Leominster. He also had a lifelong appreciation for aviation and was a licensed pilot.
After his time in the service, Peter attended Saxton Trade School and studied mechanical drawing.
Peter was employed for many years as a mold designer in the plastics industry. Later, he established his own design consulting business, Orchard Design Associates in Leominster.
Peter leaves his wife of 57 years. Leanne (Wass) Miller; his sons, Peter F. Miller of Devans, Jack Miller of Kingston, and Gregory Miller and his wife, Debra Donston-Miller of Sterling; his daughters, Karen White and her husband, Michael of Templeton, and Nancy Cosentino and her husband, Donald of Ashburnham.
Peter is also survived by his brothers, Paul Miller and Frank Miller; as well as a sister, Francine Peters.
Peter had seven grandchildren, Emily and Tyler Miller, Michael and Christine Keslake, Hannah Miller, and Caitlin and Claire Miller. He was predeceased by infant sons, Scott, Steven, and Kevin Miller.
MILLER -- His Funeral will be held on Friday, December 21 in THE CURLEY MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 89 West St., Leominster at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow with full military honors at The Massachusetts Veteran Cemetery, Winchendon, Mass. Calling Hours at the Funeral Home will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
