Raymond A. Touchette
of Fitchburg, Korean War Vet; 82

FITCHBURG -- Raymond A. Touchette, 82, of Fitchburg, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, after a lengthy illness, at his home surrounded by his family.

Raymond was born in Fitchburg, December 10, 1930 to Eli & Georgianna (Lamourex) Touchette, and was a lifelong Fitchburg resident.

Raymond attended Fitchburg schools before serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for Crocker Burbank & Co., Weyerhaeuser & James River Paper mill for over 40 years. He was the Assistant Foreman of Maintenance.

He was an avid and loyal New England sports fan, enjoyed bowling, camping, and spending time with family & friends.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise (Gagne) Touchette; two daughters, Donna Yezierski & her husband, Jerome of Hadley, Lisa Touchette and her partner, Christina Reed of Newburyport; two sons, Kevin Touchette of Fitchburg, James Touchette & his wife, Darlene of Fitchburg; two brothers, Roger Touchette and his wife, Janet of Leominster, Ernest Touchette and his wife, Nancy of Kansas; a sister, Barbara Therrien and her husband, Roger of Virginia. Raymond also leaves eight grandchildren that he loved very much, Gregory Yezierski, Justin Yezierski, Christen Touchette, Melissa (Touchette) Fisher, Nicholas Yezierski, Ryan Touchette, Michael Touchette and Emma Touchette; also several great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by a brother, Adrien Touchette of Ashby, and his 5 year old daughter, Debra Touchette, in 1959.

TOUCHETTE -- A funeral Mass will be held 10 A.M., Monday, November 18th at St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial to follow at St Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours are 2-5 p.m., Sunday, November 17th at Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information.
