LEOMINSTER -- Reginald "Reggie" C. Roy, 74, of Leominster, died November 19, 2012 in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster. He was born March 2, 1938, in Biddeford, Maine, son of Willie and Irene (Precourt) Roy.

Mr. Roy served in the US Navy from July 1955 thru Feb. 1959. He then served in the US Army from Aug. 1959 thru Aug. 1962. He was a Leominster Police Officer for 20 years, retiring in 1984, from the City of Leominster. He was the Chairman for the Council on Aging for 17 years, A Life Member of Leominster Sportsmen's Association, A Member of the Leominster Police Association, a volunteer for the Jimmy Fund, and Franco American War Veterans and the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered at Bingo at Birchwood Manor Nursing Home for many years. He was a member of St. Leo's Parish.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sheila M. (Lawrence) Roy, his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Lawrence of Leominster, his brother-in-law, Richard Lawrence of Naples, FL; along with two sons; Christopher Roy and his wife Michelle of Webster, MA, William Roy of Leominster, a daughter, Kim-Carole Roy and her significant other, Miguel Pinero of Fitchburg, a brother, Richard Roy and his wife Janet of Kennebunk, ME, five sisters, Gabrielle Fecteau, Doris Busse and Claudette Vachon, and her husband Raymond, all of Biddeford, ME, Gertrude Paquet, of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Charline Petrin and her husband Roland, of Cumming, GA, along with seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, along with a brother Donald Roy and a sister Georgette Belanger. He left behind good friends and a family who will miss him very much.

ROY -- Mr. Roy's Funeral will be Saturday, November 24, 2012, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc. 109 West St., Leominster, MA with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
