Robert A. Normandin, Jr.
formerly of Fitchburg, MA; 71

LEHIGH ACRES, FL -- Robert A. Normandin, Jr., 71, of Lehigh Acres, FL, passed away July 17, 2014 at his home. Born in Fitchburg, MA, on November 15, 1942, he was the eldest son of Robert A. Normandin, Sr. and Bella J. (nee LaRoche) who both predeceased him.

He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fitchburg in 1960. After graduating, he served his country in the Army. He returned home to work in the family business, Ranor Inc., in Westminster, MA. In 1989, he started his own company, RAN Engineering Corp., which he ran until his retirement in 2004. He was blessed with a keen mind and an entrepreneurial spirit. He enjoyed flying, boating and traveling in his motor home.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (nee Arceci); three daughters, Deborah Chatigny of Gardner, MA, Renee Doubleday of Lehigh Acres, FL, Michele Lindquist (Michael) of Foxboro, MA; son Robert A. Normandin III (Joanne) of Rindge, NH; and two stepsons, Eric Lynskey (Kaitlin) of Rohnert Park, CA and Jason Lynskey of Keene, NH; eight grandchildren and ten siblings; Carol (Len) Normandin Schreter of NV; Joan Duffy of FL; Peter (Julie) Normandin of MA; Dennis (Deborah) Normandin of MA; Rosemary Normandin of RI; David Normandin of FL; Mark (Joanne) Normandin of MA; Terri (Peter) Bergman of OH; Joyce (Greg) Cravedi of MA; and Diane (Percy) Riden of FL; also many nieces, nephews and former spouse Carolyn (nee Couture) Normandin.

NORMANDIN -- A celebration of his life will be held on August 2nd at 1 p.m. at his home. Arrangements are in care of Anderson-Patterson Cremation & Funeral Services.
