LEOMINSTER -- Theresa "Mike" K. (Pichette) Owen, 84 years old, of Leominster, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Highlands in Fitchburg.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stephen E. Owen; daughters, Linda Ann Gibbons and her husband, John of West Roxbury, Susan L. Perkins and her husband, Barry of Mattapoisett; son, Michael S. Owen and his wife, Amy of Leominster; sister, Yvonne Miller of Fitchburg; brother, John Pichette of Gardner; and two grandchildren, Emily Nelson of Worcester, and Joseph Owen of Leominster.
Mrs. Owen was born August 27, 1928 in Leominster, daughter of Arthur and Katherine (McGowan) Pichette, and was a lifelong resident of Leominster, graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School in Fitchburg, and member of St. Leo's Parish. From 1963 - through her retirement in 1991, she worked for the Sheriff's Department at the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction, first as an executive secretary to the Sheriff and later as the Assistant Deputy Superintendent. She was also a Deputy Sheriff for Worcester County. For many years, she served as a Warden at the Election Polls for the City of Leominster.
OWEN -- A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2012 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11:30 AM at St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 5 pm-7 pm in the funeral home. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
