LEOMINSTER -- William J. Elliott III, 60, of Leominster, died January 25, 2014. He was born August 3, 1953, in Fitchburg, the son of William J. Elliott Jr., and the late Irene (Dumas) Elliott. Mr. Elliott was a graduate of Fitchburg High School, Class of 1971. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge Rifle M-16, and the Expert Badge Grenade. William worked as a custodian at Leominster High School.
He is survived by his father, William J. Elliott Jr. of Leominster, two sons; William J. Elliott IV, of Holden, Scott Montaquila, of Leominster; a daughter, Michelle Fletcher, of Leominster; his former wife and mother of his children Joyce Montaquila, two brothers, Joseph Dumas of Leominster and Edward Dumas of Fitchburg, two sisters; Irene Dumas Hayes of Gardner and Debra Mable, along with 6 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
ELLIOTT -- A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 31, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
