Ida Mae (Turbide) Bopp

LEOMINSTER -- Ida Mae (Turbide) Bopp, 93, of Leominster, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in the Life Care Center of Leominster.
Mae was born in Rumford, Maine on May 16, 1920, a daughter of the late Albert and Dorila (Beausoleil) Turbide. She has lived in Leominster most of her life, working as a sewing instructor for the Cluet Peabody Shirt Company. Mae also worked as a staff aide for the USO in Ayer for many years. She was a longtime parishioner of Saint Cecilia's Church in Leominster.
She leaves her loving husband of 45 years, Arnold E. Bopp of Leominster; many nieces and nephews, including local nephews, Martin Turbide and his wife Gail, Paul Turbide and his wife Diane and Mark Turbide and his wife Carla all of Leominster.
Mae was predeceased by her sisters, Beatrice Breidenbach of Pottstown, Pennsylvania and Lou Reardon of Fairfield, California, and her brother, Albert Turbide of Leominster, Massachusetts.
BOPP -- A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Saturday, February 1, 2014 with a Mass in Saint Cecilia's Church at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Saint Cecilia's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter, PO Box 845945, Boston, MA 02284-5945 or to the Saint Cecilia's Restoration Fund, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA 01453.
