LEOMINSTER -- Bonnie L. (Milliken) Hebert, 69, of Leominster, formerly of Winchendon, died peacefully Friday, April 11th, at UMASS Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Winchendon on September 20, 1944, the daughter of Russell A. and B. Irma (Farwell) Milliken. She lived in Winchendon until 1984 moving to the Lunenburg and Leominster area. She graduated from Murdock High School in 1962 where she played all sports and was voted best female athlete of her class. She attended Worcester State College. During her school years she also was a dance and acrobatic performer, performing for many organizations and benefits in MA. She was also a contestant on the Boston Community Auditions program and then qualified for the Ted Mack Amateur Hour in NYC.
Bonnie married Franklin J. Hebert, Jr. in 1964 and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 25th. Her primary job through married life was dedicated to caring for her family.
In later years, she was a student of the decorative arts and belonged to Yankee Heritage Tole Painters, where she was a board of director and The National Society of Decorative Painters. Bonnie taught painting classes for the past 35 years. She enjoyed using oils, acrylics, water colors, pen & ink and most recently colored pencils.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Heather Nasiatka and her husband, Scott of Winchendon; and her son, Eric Hebert and his wife, Marie of Ashburnham; her four grandchildren, Joshua Nasiatka and Amber Nasiatka, both of Winchendon, and Noah Hebert and Emily Hebert, both of Ashburnham; several cousins, that included her cousin Phyllis Stone of Northboro with whom she shared painting interest. She is also survived by her best friend, Barbara Brown of Lunenburg.
Her beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor and her compassion will truly be missed by her family and friends.
HEBERT -- Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16th at 12 Noon in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon at a later date. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday evening, April 15th from 4 to 7 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to
