LEOMINSTER -- Irene (Brosseau) Boucher, 97, of Leominster, passed away Thursday, April 24, in River Terrace in Lancaster.
Irene was born in Leominster on July 22, 1916, a daughter of the late Philias and Rose Anna (DuVanney) Brosseau. She worked for the former Cluet and Peabody Shirt Co. in Leominster as a stitcher. Irene loved to do puzzles and was fond of knitting and crocheting. She was a kind spirit and always loved to dance.
She leaves her two daughters, Beverly A. Valera and her husband, Sebastian of Winchendon, and Barbara A. DeCosta of Leominster; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons.
Irene also leaves her two siblings, Paul J. Brosseau of Rhode Island, and Alice Murphy of Leominster.
Irene was predeceased by her husband, Edward Boucher in 1983, and her son-in-law, James "Jay" DeCosta in 2012, four brothers, and one sister.
BOUCHER -- The funeral will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, on Saturday, April 26 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Saint Cecilia's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Saturday, April 26, from 9-11 A.M.
