Lorraine E. (Cormier) Boucher
Longtime resident of Fitchburg; 87

FITCHBURG -- Lorraine E. (Cormier) Boucher, 87, formerly Glen Ave., died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Knowllwood Nursing Center, West Boylston.

Her husband of 59 years, Narcisse W. Boucher died in August, 2006. Mrs. Boucher passed on her 67th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Boucher was born in Gardner on April 17, 1927 a daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie (Robichaud) Cormier, and had resided in Fitchburg for 66 years.

Mrs. Boucher is survived by one son, Jimmy O. Boucher of Plymouth, NH; four daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannette L. and Rob Bassingththwaite of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Joanne L. and Bernie Breault of Jericho, VT, Diane M. and Paul Sturgis of Westborough, Theresa B. and Leonard Dupuis of Mechanicsville, Virginia; one brother, Omer Cormier of Westford; two sisters, Rita Cormier of Presque Isle Maine, Margaret Cormier of Fitchburg; 12 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Clarence Cormier, Laurie Cormier and Loretta Roy.

Mrs. Boucher had worked for over 30 years at the former Watatic Mills/Fitchburg Yarn retiring in 1988. She had previously worked at Rogers Foam, Hoods Manufacturing and Charleton Furniture.

She was a communicant of St. Francis Church and the former Immaculate Conception Church and was involved in many of the church bazaars.

Mrs. Boucher was an accomplished seamstress and also enjoyed sewing. Her greatest love was her family and the special joy she had with spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

BOUCHER -- A Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 29 at St. Joseph Church, 46 Woodland Street, Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4-7 P.M., Monday at the Isabelle and Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg. Please see www.isabellefuneral.com for additional information.
