of Shirley; 25

SHIRLEY -- Travis A. Prince, 25, of Shirley, died unexpectedly Friday, May 2, 2014, at his home.

Travis was born in Concord, November 10, 1988, a son of Gary B. and Mary Ann (Pender) Prince and resided most of his life in Shirley.

He was a 2007 graduate of Ayer High School where he was the recipient of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System - John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, the Excellence in Latin Award and the Excellence in Math Award. He played on the Ayer Lunenburg Hockey Team.

He was an automobile enthusiast and attended St. Anthony's Church in Shirley.

For the past six years he served his country in the United States Army.

Besides his parents of Shirley, he leaves his wife of three years, Nicole M. (Wostenberg) Prince; his son, Lucas J.A. Prince of Shirley; two brothers, Gregary B. Prince of Marlboro, Brandon M. Prince of Shirley; his paternal grandfather, Clarence F. Prince of Dunedin, Florida; a nephew, Ryan Prince; a niece, Taylor Prince (for whom Travis was a Godfather), and several cousins.

PRINCE -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, May 9th at St Anthony Church, 14 Phoenix Street, Shirley.

Burial with military honors will be 1 PM Friday at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.

Calling hours will be 4 - 8 PM Thursday, May 8th at the T. J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road, Ayer.
