WESTMINSTER -- Diane M. (Tietgens) Twombly, 48, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Diane leaves her husband, Tom J. Twombly, her parents, Francis and Sandra (Cameron) Tietgens, her sister, Denise Zawalick, and her husband John, all of Westminster, three step-sons, Joshua Twombly, Nicholas Twombly, and Jordan Twombly all of Keene, NH, and several nieces, and nephews.
Diane was born on July 27, 1965, in Leominster, MA. She grew up in Westminster, and graduated from Oakmont Regional High School in 1982. Diane also graduated from the former North Adams State College, in 1987 with a BA in Early Childhood Education. Diane worked as an Intake Specialist for Bay Path Elder Services.
Diane was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church. She enjoyed scrap booking, camping and physical fitness. Diane will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
TWOMBLY -- Diane's Funeral will be held from the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Westminster on Tuesday, with a mass at 9:00 a.m., in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA.
Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
Calling hours will be on Monday, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Diane's family ask that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, C/O Dr. Erica Kaitz's, LMS Research NOW Fund, P.O. Box 849168 Boston, MA 02284.
