Arthur S. Brassard
Formerly of Lunenburg, Navy Vet; 59

LANCASTER -- Arthur S. Brassard, passed away in his home on May 29, 2014, after a long illness.

Artie was born on October 15, 1954 in Fitchburg, son of Jerome and Aline (St. Jean) Brassard, and had lived many years in Lunenburg. He was a graduate of Lunenburg High school, where he excelled in sports, especially football. He loved all sports, particularly golf.

He was a Vietnam Veteran serving with U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He worked for 24 years for the Raytheon Company as an Engineer.

He leaves his mother, Aline of Fitchburg; a sister, Susan Brassard of Mont Vernon N.H.; a brother, David in Ohio; a niece, Mary and a nephew, John.

He was predeceased by his father, Jerome.

BRASSARD -- Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements. (
