Ernest J. Leger

LEOMINSTER -- Ernest J. Leger, passed on to his eternal life on June 27, 2014, at home surrounded by his loved ones after a long illness.
He was born in Fulton, N.Y. on August 15, 1938, the son of Armand and Eva (Cormier) Leger.
Ernest served in the U.S. Navy for three years, and worked in the building trades until his retirement. His passion was working on his land and building a home for his family.
He was a member of the Leominster United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Allene (Johnson) Leger. He also leaves his children, Douglas Leger and wife Charlene of Leominster, Deborah Lowe of Leominster, Jane Marcello and husband, Dennis of Leominster, Patricia LaPolt and husband, William of Florida, Allen Cormier and wife, Kathy of Florida; a son-in-law, Ramon Bazan of Fitchburg; brother, Harvey Leger; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Ernest was predeceased by his son, Garry Leger, his son-in-law, Bruce Lowe, and his sister, Theresa LeBlanc.
LEGER -- A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11 am in the Leominster United Methodist Church, 77 Hall St.
Mr. Leger's family will receive friends after the service in the church hall.
