LEOMINSTER Roland E. Bourgault, 84, of Leominster, died Sunday, December 13, at home, with his family, after an illness.
He was born March 18, 1925, in Fitchburg, son of the late Joseph and Clarinda (Plante) Bourgault. Mr. Bourgault served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Bourgault was a papermaker for Union #170 for 44 years. He worked for D-Jon's, Crocker-Burbank, Weyerhaeuser, James River, and Mill #10 until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Bourgault was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
He leaves two sons, Donald J. Bourgault and his wife Denise of Tracy CA, and Gary F. Bourgault and his wife Nancy of Gardner, five grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Ashley, Michael, and Nichole Bourgault, one great-grandson, Erion, and one great-granddaughter, Kayleigh, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his seven brothers, George, Cleo, Aldore, Lionel, Albert, Raymond, and Romeo, and his four sisters, Ora Jeffrey, Blanche Boisvert, Della Trautwig, and Silvia Richard.
BOURGAULT The funeral will be held Thursday, December 17, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the funeral Thursday, December 17, from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
